July 22 marks the return of Candlebox, with their first studio album in 10 years. Yeah thats right, it has been 10 years since we heard from these guys and let me tell you that they have not missed a beat. The album pretty much sounds how you would expect it to, the follow up to their last album. Candlebox’s 1993 self-titled debut album, featuring the singles “Change,” “You” and “Far Behind” was followed by, “Lucy,” was released in 1995 and “Happy Pills” arrived in 1998. Into The Sun carries the box of candles into a new decade. It features three of the band’s founding four members: singer Kevin Martin, guitarist Peter Klett and drummer Scott Mercado. Bassist Adam Kury has replaced Bardi Martin. The production this time around is helmed by Ron Aniello (Lifehouse, Barenaked Ladies) so you know its gonna sound mint and all 90’s.
